Bring your own Nintendo Entertainment System game file and play it in WASM Arcade. No account or installation is required. The ROM is read locally on your device, and is not uploaded to our server.
Start with your own file
- Open the library and choose Add games.
- Select a .nes file, or a ZIP containing one NES game.
- Choose the game from your local library.
Files must be smaller than 64 MB. Multi-game archives should be extracted first. Only use files you have the right to use; this site does not provide ROMs or BIOS downloads.
Controls
NES controls usually use arrow keys, Enter for Start and X / Z for actions. Use Controls in the player to inspect and remap the actual configuration. Compatible gamepads can be configured through the emulator; support depends on your browser. Special peripherals and unusual cartridges may not behave like standard controllers.
Keep your progress
One automatic slot and three manual slots save progress in this browser. Autosave runs every 30 seconds while the page is visible and also attempts a save when you close or leave the player. Export important progress as a save backup. Browser storage is not a permanent backup.
Compatibility
The player uses EmulatorJS with the FCEUmm core. Compatibility varies by cartridge, mapper and browser. A successful import checks the file structure; it does not guarantee that every game will run. If the screen stays blank, use a current browser with WebAssembly and WebGL enabled and check your original file.
