Your GBA games. A browser away.

WASM Arcade runs your own Game Boy Advance files locally using EmulatorJS and the mGBA core. Add a game, start playing, and save progress on your device. There is no account, subscription or cloud ROM storage.

Import a GBA game

Choose Add games and select a .gba file or a ZIP containing one game. You can select multiple files in one import. The 64 MB limit applies per file and to the expanded game. Archives with several games should be extracted before import.

Keyboard, touch and gamepads

Open Controls in the player for the active mapping, including A, B, L, R, Start and Select. On supported touch devices the emulator can show virtual controls. Gamepads depend on browser and hardware support; connect your controller before opening Controls.

Local saves and game versions

Snapshots belong to the exact imported ROM and emulator version. Two editions or patches of a game may not share compatible saves. WASM Arcade uses a content fingerprint, so merely renaming a file does not create another game. Changing the file contents does.

Use the automatic slot for quick continuation and manual slots for points you want to keep. Export current state creates a backup file you can restore in WASM Arcade with the same game. Clearing site data, switching browsers or using a private session can remove local progress.

Before going offline

Open the app and launch the game at least once while connected. The app can cache its engine for later use, but offline availability depends on a successful cache and the browser retaining it. Keep your original ROM and save backups outside the browser.
